How everything began
In the heart of Munich between Karlsplatz Stachus and Marienplatz near the Liebfrauendom you will find HIRMER the world’s largest department for special-sized gentlemens clothing. During the fashion-el Dorado for mens fashion the development of HIRMER special size menswear began in the 80’s on the 4. floor of the HIRMER store in Munich. Soon after the HIRMER special size menswear department was well known as the Germany’s largest special sizes department.
A few years later, in August 1995, the first external branch for HIRMER special sizes was opened in Mannheim. Just two years later the next shop for special sizes opened its doors in Frankfurt. Thereafter it took another three years of establishment until spring 2000 to open the HIRMER special size store in Nürnberg and in Berlin. A milestone was set in 2001 when we opened our first overseas shop in the Donau-metropolis Vienna. The stores in Hamburg opened in August 2002 followed by the outlet near the old market hall in Stuttgart Sporerstrasse in spring 2004.
All HIRMER special size stores are between 500 and 900 squaremeters and offer a wide assortment of mens fashion on 2 to 3 floors incomparable to any other mens fashion store in Germany and Austria.
Assortment, brands and fashion were never a question of size. At HIRMER special sizes no fashion desire is left unfulfilled.
