Skiwear & snowboard clothing in plus sizes – for men, who know what they want

There are plenty of men out there, who can't wait to get their boards under their feet, as soon as the temperatures drop and the first snowflakes come trundling down. A well prepared slope is just as important to them as is the right snow gear. Skis or snowboard? It really doesn't matter what you prefer. The ski jacket and ski trousers for men should be a good fit, offer plenty of freedom of movement, be functional and keep the wearer nice and warm, without being stuffy. That's quite a few criteria right there – but definitely no too many. One thing is for sure: the most important criterion for sportswear is that it is not restrictive, doesn't pinch anywhere or feels unpleasant in any way. When the temperatures are freezing outside, underwear in a nice and warm microfibre and wool blend will make sure that you feel perfectly snug.

Ski trousers and ski jacket – what should plus size men look out for?

The right gear is key if winter sports should be fun whatever the weather. Aside from a good, comfortable pair of snowboarding or ski boots that give you stability, you'll also need a functional ski jacket and ski trousers. The important factor here is that they reliably protect you against wet and cold. Windproof and watertight outer materials are a good start. Next you'll need a warm lining for the jacket and snowboarding pants that also fulfils other critical requirements. There should be ventilation zones to allow moisture from your skin to be wicked away and transported outward, but these zones should also have closures, so that you can control your own body climate. This heat exchange works particularly well if you also choose an underwear set consisting of undershirt and pants.

The so-called "water column" is also an important point to consider. You will find that information in the description of all our ski jackets and ski trousers. It describes how quickly a material or a membrane allows water to pass through – i.e. the water contact resistance of the material. The higher the number, the less permeable the material. A water column value of approx. 10,000 mm and higher is recommended for ski sports attire.

By the way: The little zip featured on the sleeve of many ski jackets opens a little pocket that is perfectly dimensioned to hold your ski pass. Most ski regions now work with contactless ski passes. You will just have to hold your arm against the sensor and you'll be on your way through the turnstile at the ski lift or the gondola.
